We believe that every child possesses a unique capability. But in a formal classroom, a student doesn’t get the scope to learn as per his/her choice and needs. Students are bound to follow an organised curriculum despite having disinterest for many subjects. So they fail to understand the subjects which do not interest them. Often they don’t take part in the interactive session. Sometimes they are humiliated in the formal classroom for their disinterest.
YUVA’s remedial classes will help to detect the interests of the students. It will make up the gaps of a formal class by providing extra care to the weak students. The remedial classes will be run not only to back up the weak students but also to provide extra care to the students with special abilities in different fields.
“Every child has a different learning style and pace. Each child is unique, not only capable of learning but also capable of succeeding.”– ROBERT JOHN MEEHAN
What is Remedial Education?
The Remedial Education is an instructional programme designed for students who have identified deficiencies in reading, writing, and math. The programme provides individualised basic skills that assist students to achieve expected competencies in core academic skills.
Who needs remedial education?
- Children who have difficulty with reading, spelling and writing.
- Children diagnosed with Specific Learning Disability.
- Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder who are struggling with their studies.
How does remedial education help?
Remedial education addresses the multiple areas that are responsible for ensuring a positive, meaningful and long-lasting learning experience. For a child with writing difficulties, work on eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills are required, in order to build the strength and dexterity necessary to hold a pencil appropriately and write between the lines.
Children are helped with pre-writing skills and writing using various approaches which appeal to all learning styles (visual, auditory, tactile and kinesthetic). It alleviates boredom, enhances attention and makes learning fun.
